The Podtatran museum in Poprad – exposition in Spišská Sobota
The Podtatran museum in Poprad – exposition in Spišská Sobota is housed in an original burgher house, which is situated in a terraced building on the historic square in the town’s conservation area – Spišská Sobota. The oldest architectural features of the building date back to the late Gothic period. The building is registered in the State List of Cultural Monuments of the Slovak Republic. The building was reconstructed between 1974 and 1978 and subsequently opened to the public. The burgher house belonged to the family of Werner, who in the past devoted herself to coloring the skin. This was then used to make garments, footwear, various utility articles.
