Tatra Gallery

Tatra Gallery was founded in 1960 and it was first established in Stary Smokovec. After occupying multiple sites, it finally settled in Poprad. Currently, its activities are presented in the former steam power plant in Hviezdoslavova street, but also in other cultural institutions of the Tatra region. The Gallery’s acquisition, scientific and exhibition activities present especially the work of visual artists from the Spis region and the wider Eastern Slovakia, as well as that of other Slovak notables to the public. Over the last decade, the TG caught the attention of cultural public with its more extensive exhibition projects and events held in accordance with the latest trends in the world of fine art.
