Visit Poprad

An international road E50 runs through the city. The city is well connected with the highway D1. There are three respective exits:

1. Poprad – West, Airport

2. Poprad – High Tatras

3. Poprad – East

Parking

There is an extensive park system available in the city centre. You can pay the parking fee via a text message. Prices range from € 0.30 / 30 min. to € 1 / 1 h in the zone closest to the center. For more information click on http://pps.smkpp.sk/

Suburban buses and coaches run from Poprad to numerous towns and villages in Slovakia. To search for connection, click on www.cp.sk. 

Tickets can be bought on board a bus from the driver. Tickets for coach rides may be reserved and purchased online. You will be automatically redirected to cp.sk.

Close to the city (2 km), there is an international airport at the highest altitude in Central Europe, namely the Poprad – Tatry airport.

From the airport you can use contracting taxi services or rent a car in several car rentals.

In addition to public transport, you can use several taxi services.

The standard price for a ride within the city ranges between €1.50 – 3.00 €. List of taxi services can be found  here.

Poprad is directly connected with the cities on the East-West railroad line. The main stops are:

Košice, Kysak, Poprad-Tatry Liptovský Mikuláš, Žilina, Bratislava, Trnava, Bratislava.

In addition, trains or streetcars connect the city with the Tatra mountains and their respective destinations: Štrbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec and Tatranská Lomnica.

Tickets can be bought inside the station, but the RegioJet tickets are available online or on board a train.
